Holy Basil brings traditional dishes from Thai & Laos to Australia. The restaurant has a strong cultural presence making you feel warm and welcoming to showcase the finest cuisines from these regions. The layout of the restaurant has large lanterns giving you that authentic Asian vibe and the place is reasonably classy. Fresh herbs and spices are the key component to these cuisines which has a mixture of sweet, sour and spicy food depending on your selection of foods. Holy Basil has a impressive reputation that is featured in many magazines and review articles.

Though Holy Basil has traditional food on the menu its desserts selection of  Fried ice cream and its Sticky Coconut and rice pudding with mango is just divine. On the left here is an image of the fried ice cream. Using a scoop of ice cream and putting it on the stove with eggs and a layer of bread crumbs the end product is so tasty.  Holy Basil  has mastered this art and is by bar the best fried ice cream you can experience in Sydney.

The Sticky Coconut and Rice Pudding with Mango is also a must. This traditional dish is a dessert you have to try. The perfect balance of sweet and savoury will leave you speech less and will have you craving for  more.

N2

N2 extreme gelato is a unique store due to the fact that the store uses liquid nitrogen in to make the gelato. N2 brings together the art of chemistry and food science to you by making the gelato using a wacky process. Liquid nitrogen causes ice crystallisation which takes only a matter of seconds to freeze serving you -6 degree gelato. The process of making the gelato is mind blowing and a must for you to experience for yourself. N2 has set its store to make you believe your in a chemistry class with all the equipment, mist and staff lab coats as uniforms. It looks like a mad science experiment you are watching.

N2 uses local dairies as a source for milk and full cream. The use of fruits and herbs are selected  thoroughly to produce only the best gelato. The flavours of ice cream range from the traditional chocolate/vanilla to milo, cheesecakes, buttered popcorn and spam mustard. Sounds strange enough but then the whole concept is meant to be strange and you can expect nothing less. N2 encourages customers to suggest flavours no matter how weird they may sound in order to experiment whether that the flavour may be a hit in the future.

The taste is just as good as gelato without liquid nitrogen but the frost feeling you wont experience anywhere else. It is a refreshing feeling the moment it hit your tongue. N2 is a store you should definitely visit.
